Atsu body found from rubble in Turkey
Christian Atsu, a 31-year-old Ghana international who had previously played for Chelsea, Newcastle, and Porto, went missing on 6th February 2023 during the Turkey-Syria earthquake while playing for Hatayspor; initial reports suggested he had been rescued, but this later turned out to be false. Unfortunately, Atsu's body was recovered from the rubble on 18th February. The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.8, occurred on the borders of Turkey and Syria and has claimed the lives of over 46,000 people.
