Athletic Bilbao clinches Copa del Rey title after 40-year drought!
Athletic Bilbao commonly called as Athletic is a unique club that embodies the spirit of community letting players that has roots with Basque region to represent club. They won Copa Del Rey(CDR) on 6 April 2024 against Mallorca defeating them in penalty shoot out. Between this and their last win, Athletic lost six final's in 1985, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2020, 2021. Over one million people participated in the celebration setting a sail in Gabarra, flanked by 160 boats, one of it steered by former player Inigo Martinez currently with Fc Barcelona.
