Spain national team were tagged with their style named Tiki-taka due to their obsession towards possession based football. Tiki-taka is described as a style of play based on making your way to the back of the net through short passing and movement. Spanish national team have had great success between 2008-2012 period in international football winning FIFA world cup 2010, Euro cup 2008 and 2012. In same period at club level, FC Barcelona also enjoyed great success using same style. Football has evolved and moved forward with speed and intensity as the theme. In Euro 2024, Spain lost battle for possession for first time against Croatia in 136 international games. Spain won game by 3-0. Last time, they lost in terms of possession is in their win by 1-0 in final of Euro 2008 against Germany.
